Couple searches for dog stolen during burglary
CUTLER BAY, Fla. (WSVN) -- A couple is searching for their beloved dog that was stolen, several days ago during, a burglary.
The burglary occurred Friday afternoon at the Darder family's Cutler Bay home.
According to Tiare Darder, the burglar broke a window to gain entry into her home. "They just crawled into the house," she said.
The crook stole some electronics, including a 55-inch TV, but Darder is more distraught that the burglar took her teacup Yorkie, Boo Boo. "I don't care about the material stuff. All I care about is my dog. She's my baby. She's my family. I want her back," Darder said through tears. "I don't have kids. We can't have kids, and she's my baby. She's my baby."
Darder and her husband have since been searching around Cutler Bay for Boo Boo. The couple even posted flyers around their neighborhood. "At this point, all we can do is continue to search because that's the only thing that gives her hope," said Darder's husband.
Darder is hopeful that Boo Boo will come back home, but she cannot help but worry about the Yorkie, who has several health issues. Darder said, "She has a problem with her teeth, and if she doesn't eat special food, because she's so tiny, she won't last long, and I don't want anything to happen to her."
