Lyrics For Eye Of The Tiger
Luciano: Illinois, are you ready to rock?
Why doesn't Illinois rock?
It just doesn't. At least, not officially.
We have a state tree (white oak) and state insect (monarch butterfly) and state fish (blue gill). We even have a state dance (the square dance, which survives chiefly to embarrass junior-high students in P.E.) and a state fossil (The Tully Monster, which was a small, spineless fish and not monstrous at all).
This lackluster roster of state symbols came back to me the other day as I was piddling around the Internet and realized that some states have official rock songs. Yet Illinois does not.
Yes, Illinois has an official song, of the non-rock variety. It's called - get ready for shocking excitement here - "Illinois." It's horrid. I remember grade-school music classes, where we had to warble this dreary ballad. I spent less time trying to stay on key than I did trying to stay awake. The lyrics involve trees and prairies and leaves and - get this - "mellow tones." It's rather hard to get pumped about a state when its official song stresses its mellowness. Twice, even.
Other states kill Illinois in terms of better official songs. Georgia has "Georgia On My Mind," while Tennessee has "Rocky Top." And you might not find John Denver edgy or cool, but Colorado's state song of "Rocky Mountain High" is a relative face-melter compared to the tame lameness of "Illinois."
And unlike Illinois, some states are creative enough to have more than just one category of official song. For instance, New Mexico has five different designations, including official state cowboy song ("Under New Mexico Skies)," while Massachusetts' eight ditties include an official polka ("Say Hello to Someone From Massachusetts").
Don't get me wrong: Illinois doesn't need to grab an acoustic guitar or an accordion. We need amps and drums. We need an official rock song.
Only two states boast such distinctions. Ohio claims the moldy-oldie "Hang On, Sloopy," which has no real connection there except the Ohio State University marching band has played it since 1965.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma's rock pick is "Do You Realize??" - a fuzzy, clangy swatch of psychedelia by Oklahoma City alt-rockers The Flaming Lips.
Neither song is what you'd call real rock - not in the sense of rock 'n' roll in its truest roots as rebellious. And that's where Illinois should come in, with the nation's first true state rock song.

Of the band's streak of hits, you could pluck a true blockbuster: "Eye of the Tiger." But that's a little timeworn. Dan Fogelberg? You could say that "The River" - though not well known outside these parts - evokes natural imagery far more eloquently

It's like water or air because if you watch a movie or you're going through your day like you said, and you listen to a song, it makes you feel a certain way. Like “Eye Of The Tiger” on Rocky. Makes you feel like, “I'm bad, whoo!

Among all the workout music available, the one that comes at the top of the list is the Eye of the tiger. It is a very old song, which was produced in 1980s. However, the song with its lyrics and its beat is still popular in training centers and sport gyms. When you ask someone to tell you about good workout music then the first thing they tell you about is the Eye of the tiger, after which there are others as well which you a try for a change. Even if this song is the best, you still need a vast collection in your MP3 player to keep your interest; otherwise, if you keep hearing the same song again and again, you are sure to get bored. The lyrics of the song are amazing and they state something about the challenges in life. They state about how a man struggles and rises to the challenge.
