Low Sodium Dog Food Recipe

A Few Healthy Dog Food recipes; Plus Tips On Making Your Own Dog`s Food!

Here are a few things you should avoid doing when making your homemade dog food. You should never microwave your dog`s food because this type of cooking kills minerals, vitamins and nutrients and the radiation alters the cell structure of the food.

There have been scientific studies to prove that humans that eat microwaved foods have disturbing and significant changes in their blood cells. Microwaving has a lot of serious side-effects, like altering the minerals in vegetables into cancerous free-radicals.

Next is that many recipes call for using chicken/beef bouillon cubes and/or canned beef/chicken broth. These products are too high in sodium and are therefore unhealthy. You should use sodium reduced broths, or better yet, make your own!

Of course, you will need to use some kind of flour to blind all the ingredients together, but instead of using white or whole wheat flour and/or cornmeal in your recipes, use spelt flour as it`s much more easily digestible for animals and humans. Cornmeal and flour are hard for animals to digest and many are or can become allergic to these grains. Try not to feed your dog too many baked treats that have cornmeal and flour.  as per  www.articlealley.com
