The people, the energy, the rains, a visit to the ghats — there are just so many things that pleasantly keep me occupied during weekends. Since my childhood, I have never felt a need to move out of Mumbai to have a good vacation. Most of my holidays have been here.

Presently things are different as I only get rare occasions to enjoy, due to excessive work and therefore weekends are more valuable to me now.

I almost ‘accidentally’ got into television when a few friends motivated me to give it a shot. Honestly, it really makes me laugh when I see children as young as fourteen -year-old working and trying hard to become models or television stars. I had never done that. Yet, now I keep very busy-shooting for ad assignments, working for my own production company etc. So weekends are my only stress busters.

I love watching movies, so usually I go out to watch a new release. For me movies are a good escape. I saw Harry Potter last week and I am going to watch, come what may, Aarakshan this weekend, it seems promising and it has my favourite actors. I’d also want to watch Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes . I have a bunch of close friends but when it comes to movies, I don’t care even if they are busy! I can watch movies all alone.

Thankfully, now I am not as notorious as I was as a kid, so I don’t have any special plans for weekends. I was a horrible kid, had two nannies, one to keep an eye on my actions, the other to make sure I stay out of any kind of trouble.

I am a curious person and on weekends, when I have so much time, I love to check out new hang out points, gossiping with friends, like we used to do during our college days and the best of all is trying different cuisines. I am non-alcoholic, but I am passionate about food, be it Thai, Chinese or Italian. I go out on weekends with friends to have the absolutely delicious pav bhaji that we get here in Mumbai.

Although my perfect idea for the weekend remains to go on a drive on the ghats located in and around Mumbai. The border of Maharashtra and Goa is exceptional. Very serene and beautiful I must say.

Having said that and considering the kind of temperament I have, it might sound surprising, but I wake up super early. An apple or a chocolate is usually what I take, that’s all and then, on to business, the definition of which may wary.
